Belleek Castle.  Belleek castle was constructed between the years 1825 and 1831. The building was commissioned for construction by Sir Arthur Francis Knox-Gore for the cost of 10,000 British pounds. The manor house itself was designed by the prolific architect John Benjamin Keanes. The architecture of the manor house is classed as being neo-gothic in style, having been constructed during a time when medieval-esque architecture had become fashionable once again. The castle at Belleek gains its’ name from an ancient castle which stood on the property during the 13th century, a tower house castle which was nestled on the banks of the River Moy.
